Welcome to My “Behind-the-Scenes” Story!
Discover the Real China Through a Local’s Eyes
If you’ve “felt your way” here by clicking that adorable panda on the homepage, then fate must have brought us together—haha!
Now that you’re here, I won’t hold back.
Let me share the story behind this website and me.

Me: An Ordinary Chinese Guy and a “Side-Hustling” Cross-Border E-Commerce Worker
That’s right—I’m a born-and-raised Chinese local. By day, I work in cross-border e-commerce, interacting with people worldwide. This job has given me a front-row seat to how different cultures perceive China, and it’s made me realize how often those impressions are limited to stereotypes or viral-but-shallow “internet trends.”
I love my country deeply—its rich history, diverse culture, mouthwatering food, and the warmth and vitality hidden beneath the rapid modernization of its cities. Nothing makes me happier than seeing foreign friends genuinely curious to learn more about China.
“Why Not Do It Myself?”—A Long-Gestating Idea
In recent years, especially as China’s visa-free policies expand, I’ve noticed growing enthusiasm from international travelers.
But there’s a problem: most English-language China travel guides are either written by foreigners who don’t live here (resulting in a “scratching the surface” perspective) or are packed with commercial promotions herding visitors to overcrowded, cookie-cutter “must-see” photo ops.
Outdated info, generic content, and a lack of local insight mean travelers often miss out on China’s authentic culture and hidden gems.
It breaks my heart. China’s beauty deserves more than just checklist tourism! So, I kept thinking: Why not create a site that offers a true local’s perspective on how to explore China deeply, authentically, and funly?

And So, This Little Corner of the Web Was Born
A Passion Project Fueled by Love—And Your Support

Honestly, building and maintaining this site is a labor of love. From brainstorming topics and researching to writing, translating (yep, I wrestle with turning Chinese into English!), and handling tech issues—it’s all done in my spare time.
I’m not a professional coder or full-time travel blogger, but my passion for sharing the real China is 100% genuine. Every time my content helps or inspires someone, it makes the effort worthwhile.
Creating honest content takes time and heart. If this site helps your China trip or sparks your curiosity, or if you believe in “exploring beyond the postcard”, consider “buying me a coffee” to keep this project alive.
Your support, big or small, fuels server costs, research (like buying books or visiting places firsthand), and—most importantly—motivates me to keep sharing unbiased, useful insights. Together, we can help more travelers experience a richer, more vibrant China.
